1. Who we are
AUH BusPay runs an independent online desk in Abu Dhabi that receives bus card top-up requests, checks them, and submits them for the customer in exchange for a flat service fee.
We act as an intermediary and nothing more. We are not Hafilat, not the transport authority, and not connected to any government body. We do not issue cards and we do not set fares.
2. Who may use the service
You must be 18 or over and able to enter into a contract. You may send a request for a card that belongs to someone else, provided they are happy for you to do so.
The payment card you use must be one you are entitled to use. Requests we believe to be fraudulent are declined and, where the law requires it, reported.
3. What you are responsible for
The card number you give us is yours to get right. We check that it is a plausible run of 8 to 20 digits, but we cannot confirm that it belongs to your card. Credit added to a valid card that is not yours is not something we can recover.
Keep your confirmation message. The reference code in it is how any later question gets answered quickly.
4. Fees, limits and amounts
A flat AED 4 service fee applies per request and is shown before you confirm payment. The smallest top-up is AED 10, the largest is AED 300, and a single card may be topped up 4 times a day.
Fees and limits can change. The version on the top-up page at the moment you confirm is the one that governs your request.
5. Timescales
Crediting is usually finished within 45 minutes of a cleared payment during working hours. That is a normal expectation rather than a promise: payment clearing and card systems sit outside our control.
Requests received outside working hours are handled on the next working day.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Cancelling before payment costs nothing. After payment but before submission, the amount and the fee are returned in full. Failed top-ups are refunded in full automatically. Credit already on a card cannot be reversed. The refund page sets out each case with its timescale.
7. Liability
Our liability for a request is limited to what you paid for that request, service fee included. We are not liable for a missed bus, a journey you could not take, or other indirect losses.
Nothing here removes a right you hold under the consumer protection law of the United Arab Emirates.
8. Refusing or cancelling a request
We may refuse or cancel a request that breaks these terms, goes past the limits, or looks like an attempt to move illicit funds or test stolen cards. Where we refuse something already paid for, we refund it in full.
9. Changes to these terms
This page can be updated. The terms governing your request are the ones published when you sent it, so hold on to your confirmation if the detail matters to you.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the Abu Dhabi courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
