The two we set
hb_consent — remembers that you answered the notice at the bottom of the page so it stops coming back. One short value, expires after 12 months.
hb_theme — remembers whether you chose the light or the dark colour theme, so the site opens the way you left it. Expires after 12 months.
What we do not set
No advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no social plugins, no session recording, and no analytics — not even a self-hosted one. Nothing on this site reports your visit to a third party.
The flip side is that we cannot tell you how many people read a given page. We are fine with that trade.
Local storage and other browser storage
We do not use local storage, session storage or IndexedDB for anything. Both of our values are ordinary cookies, which is why this page can describe them completely — there is no second mechanism holding data we forgot to mention.
The one thing your browser does keep on its own is the cache: the stylesheet, the fonts and the small amount of JavaScript that makes the menu and the forms work. Clearing your cache removes those and the site simply downloads them again.
Third-party content on the page
There is almost none, and what there is does not set cookies. The two typefaces come from a public font service, and the WhatsApp link is a plain link that does nothing until you click it.
No maps are embedded, no videos are embedded, no chat widget runs in the corner and no social buttons are present. That is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight: every embed is another party watching a page it has no business watching.
Declining and clearing
Declining is genuinely fine. Nothing stops working, and the only consequence is that we remember your answer so the notice does not reappear.
You can delete both cookies whenever you like from your browser’s site-data settings, or block cookies for this domain entirely. The forms still submit either way, and the site opens in the light theme.
